Privacy policy

Who we are

Facecast is run by White Design Works Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 〔to fill in〕, registered office 〔to fill in〕). We are the data controller. Contact: hello@facecast.co.uk.

The short version

• Your camera image never leaves your phone. The face reading runs entirely inside your browser. We never upload, see or store your photo.
• We don’t keep your face measurements, your nickname or your results. They live in your phone’s memory until you close the page, then they’re gone.
• No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising.

What happens on your device

When you open the camera, your browser runs a face-landmark model (Google MediaPipe) locally to find points on your face and work out a few proportions, such as the spacing between your brows. These numbers are used to pick a reading and are thrown away when you close or refresh the page. We do not create a template that could identify you, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.

If you choose “put my photo on the card”, your photo is drawn onto the result image on your phone. It only leaves your phone if you save or share that image yourself.

We remember one setting in your browser’s local storage: your language choice (Korean or English). You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

What other services see

To load the site, your browser connects to services that receive your IP address and basic technical details (such as browser type), as any website does:

• Cloudflare – hosts the site and protects it from abuse.
• Google Fonts – supplies the Korean fonts.
• jsDelivr and Google Cloud Storage – supply the face-landmark model files.

They do not receive your camera image or your results. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Our legal basis

Serving the website relies on our legitimate interest in running and securing it. We don’t process biometric data for identification, and no special-category data reaches us.

Age

Facecast is for adults aged 18 and over. Please don’t use it if you are under 18, and only scan your own face.

Payments (when introduced)

If we add paid readings, payments will be handled by our payment provider. We will receive only what we need to deliver your reading (such as a payment reference and email receipt), never your full card details. We will update this policy before that happens.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Because we don’t store your photo or results, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve. To ask anything, email us. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top.

내 기기 안에서 일어나는 일

카메라를 켜면 브라우저 안에서 얼굴 랜드마크 모델(Google MediaPipe)이 실행되어 미간 간격 같은 몇 가지 비율을 계산해요. 이 숫자는 풀이를 고르는 데만 쓰이고, 화면을 닫거나 새로고침하면 지워져요. 개인을 식별할 수 있는 얼굴 정보는 만들지 않으며, 저희나 다른 누구에게도 전송되지 않아요.

‘카드에 내 사진 넣기’를 고르면 사진이 휴대폰 안에서 결과 이미지에 들어가요. 직접 저장하거나 공유할 때만 휴대폰 밖으로 나가요.

브라우저에는 언어 설정(한국어/영어) 하나만 저장돼요. 브라우저 설정에서 언제든 지울 수 있어요.

다른 서비스가 받는 정보

사이트를 불러오기 위해 브라우저가 아래 서비스에 접속하며, 일반적인 웹사이트처럼 IP 주소와 기본 기술 정보가 전달돼요. 카메라 사진이나 결과는 전달되지 않아요.

이용 연령

Facecast는 만 18세 이상만 이용할 수 있어요. 본인 얼굴만 비춰 주세요.

결제 (도입 시)

유료 풀이를 도입하면 결제는 결제 대행사가 처리하며, 저희는 카드 정보 전체를 받지 않아요. 도입 전에 이 방침을 업데이트할게요.

이용자의 권리

영국 개인정보보호법에 따라 저희가 가진 개인정보의 열람, 정정, 삭제를 요청하거나 이용에 반대할 수 있어요. 사진과 결과를 저장하지 않기 때문에 대개는 찾아드릴 정보가 없어요. 궁금한 점은 이메일로 문의해 주세요. 답변이 만족스럽지 않으면 영국 정보위원회(ICO, ico.org.uk)에 신고할 수 있어요.
